How can Styling help me sell my home?
Presentation is vital when you are selling a property. Styling is the advantage in a competitive market and may provide the opportunity to make your property stand out and or appeal to a wider market, achieve a faster sale and ideally at a premium price.
How much does property Styling cost?
We offer different levels of service starting at $240 for a home visit and verbal advice (see separate information sheet for details). We can also tailor a package to suit your property and circumstances depending on: the home owner’s involvement, size and location of the property.
Before putting my property on the market, when should I engage Designing Divas?
2- 3 weeks is often a suitable time frame for inspection, selection and installation of hire furniture. This time frame may also include new flooring and or ready-made window coverings, if required. Should you require materials to be custom ordered, then a longer time frame is more likely.
Are Designing Divas responsible for the furniture hire?
We provide property styling. However, please contact us to discuss hire options and packages.
May I use my own furniture?
To be discussed with the stylist at the time of the consultation….It is critical that the furniture must fit in with the overall style and feel of the final home staging presentation.
Can I hire only a few items?
Designing Divas have established relationships with local furniture suppliers. A minimum order value would be at the supplier’s discretion.
Do I get to approve the home-ware and furniture hire selections?
As the design process and project timing needs to be fluid and the hire selections are based on available floor stock, trust must be placed on the stylist to present your home with furnishings that will help your property reach its optimum selling price. Given this, we do not provide sample boards for approval, but we will keep you informed of critical stages and liaise with you when important items require your approval.
What if I need new flooring, window treatments or light fittings?
We are available to advise, suggest colours, source products and deal with the suppliers on your behalf. This service would be charged at an hourly rate basis.
If trades are required such as a painter, electrician, tiler or carpenter, who looks after this?
Often your real estate agent will have their own contacts and be available to assist you with this service. However, we can make recommendations, obtain quotations and offer project coordination. This additional service would be charged on an hourly rate basis.
Do I need to be present on the staging day?
No. Designing Divas will liaise with the real estate agent for property access.
